Permit

Site Preparation

A certificate of authorization is required for the felling of any tree with a diameter of 10 centimetres or more measured at 1.3 metres from ground level.  Please see article 7.3.7 Chapter 7 Zoning By-Law 1215-22

Please note

  • Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis; 
  • Please allow 10 working days for a response; 
  • It may take up to 60 days to obtain your permit;
  • That the analysis of the application, as well as the 60-day delay, begins only when the application submitted is declared valid and complete by the municipal officer; 
  • That an application received without the necessary documents and/or information will be declared incomplete and refused.

Tree Felling

Is this tree cutting in a watercourse? (15 m from the high-water mark of a lake or watercourse or 15 m or 30 m from a wetland)•
Is it a tree cut on a slope of more than 30%?•

What you need to know before obtaining this permit

The cost of the permit is $65.

List of documents required

  • Location plan, to scale with dimensions, illustrating the location of the work; 
  • Plan to scale showing location of trees to be cut;
  • Details of culvert to be installed.
