Please note:

  • That the analysis of the application, as well as the 60-day delay, begins only when the application submitted is declared valid and complete by the municipal officer;

What you need to know before obtaining this permit

The permit fee is $120. The fee for renewing a permit is set at 50% of the initial cost.

Processing Time: The review of a PIIA (Site Planning and Architectural Integration) application takes approximately 2 to 4 months from the time a complete application is submitted.

Documents required for any type of sign

Detailed color sketch of the proposed sign (front and side views), including the following information:

  • Dimensions of the sign (height, width, and thickness)
  • Distance between the sign and the ground level
  • Description of the sign’s structure and mounting method
  • Materials used for the sign, its structure, and mounting method
  • Type of lighting

Documents and information for signs on buildings:

  • Location of the sign on the building (photo, sketch, or drawing of the installation)
  • Clearance below the sign (for brackets and projection only)
  • Documents and information for signs on premises

Location plan (e.g., recent property survey) including the following information:

  • Distance between the sign and property lines
  • Distance between the sign and the building

The citizen acknowledges that should the inspection reveal that the work differs from that for which the permit or certificate was issued, the municipality will apply the penalty stipulated in its by-laws without any further notice.
