Please note:

  • That applications are processed in the order they are received;
  • That a response time of 10 business days should be expected;
  • The 60-day review period for the application begins when it is paid and declared complete;
  • An application received without the necessary documents and/or information will be deemed refused.
  • Price for short-term rental of rooms or primary residence and bed and breakfast : $110
  • Price for tourist residence and hotel: $220

READ CAREFULLY

Validity of a usage authorization certificate (Short-term accommodation/Main residence CITQ): This permit is valid from its date of issue until December 31 of the same year.

*If any changes have occurred or are planned for the current permit (initially issued permit), please request a new permit from the municipality.

Renewal of the usage authorization certificate: It is the owner's responsibility to ensure the renewal of the usage authorization certificate each year. Please submit the renewal application no later than January 31.

Please note:
It is not allowed to rent a single-family home without proof that it is your primary residence.
Short-term rentals are not permitted.
Tourist cottages are only allowed on these three streets: 105, Old Chelsea, and Scott.
According to zoning C2-9, C2-10, C3-14, C3-15, and C3-16, it is permitted to rent the building as a hotel or tourist residence.

The citizen acknowledges that, from time to time, the municipality reserves the right to inspect work carried out on its territory to ensure compliance with current regulations.

The citizen acknowledges that should the inspection reveal that the work differs from that for which the permit or certificate was issued, the municipality will apply the penalty stipulated in its by-laws without any further notice.
