An open fire ban is currently in effect throughout the territory due to SOPFEU's fire danger index being considered “very high” for Chelsea.
This means that all open fires are prohibited as long as the SOPFEU index remains at the “very high” level. Only fires in installations equipped with a regulatory spark arrestor (opening less than 1 cm) are permitted.
In addition, all permits issued by the Chelsea Fire Department for open fires between 1 and 4 meters are now suspended.
