This decision, made in collaboration with SOPFEU, was prompted by the dry conditions affecting several regions north of the St. Lawrence River, as well as the exceptional operational demands currently facing SOPFEU.
Under Chelsea's regulations, all open fires—whether or not a permit has been obtained—fires in fireplaces equipped with a spark arrestor, fireworks, and all pyrotechnic devices are prohibited until the Ministère de la Sécurité intérieure lifts the ban on fires.
A new notice will be sent when the ban is lifted. We thank you for your cooperation.
